On 23-24 April, VWB/VSF will be running a stakeholder workshop in collaboration with the National University of Laos to explore needs and opportunities for ecohealth projects in the local area.  The focus will be veterinary extension capacity, livestock health and alternative livelihood options.

The 12th International Symposium on Veterinary Epidemiology and Economics will be held at the International Convention Centre in Durban, South Africa, from 10 to 14 August, 2009.
The theme of the conference is: "Epidemiology unplugged - providing power for better health", and the vision is: "Exploring health at the human, animal and environment interface".

Abstracts are invited for oral or poster presentations on any topic relating to epidemiology or economics.
